Hello BlueGlass Users,
BlueGlass is making upgrades, and as a result, you may experience a short outage as the improvements are made. If you experience any latency or outages, please contact us at help@geospark.io or call us at 1(855) 335-7600.
Improvements being made to the BlueGlass platform include new data sources and increased functionality, such as enabling users to reorder the frames in the main dashboard. A detailed list of the improvements is provided below, and we’d like to hear your feedback on these new capabilities.
New Data Sources:
Weather: BlueGlass users can now map live weather data around the world. This lens includes data for temperature, clouds, precipitation, wind, and pressure. Visualize individual cities in the data table drop down, or map the entire globe in worldwide view.
Digital Globe: BlueGlass now has addition high-resolution imagery. Please ask for a demo if you're interested in this data.
USGS Earthquake: Map earthquakes around the world reported by the United States Geological Survey. See locations, and magnitude and link back to the USGS web page for more information.
User Interface Upgrades:
Dashboard Creation and Organization: Users now have the ability to reorder the frames in the main dashboard, just click and drag. Also, create new dashboards that contain preferred frames that can be organized by mission, region, or any other category. Use the "Add Dashboard" option at the top of the main dashboard to use this new feature.
Alerts: When a frame has alerts, the alert number will now show in the frame on the dashboard in the color red. If there are no alerts for a frame, it will show green.
Remote View Cloud: Users can now view and exploit satellite imagery from BlueGlass using RV Cloud. If you would like to see a demo of this capability, please contact us.
Terms of Service: BlueGlass users will now have to agree to terms of service. This should occur once at the initial login.
Data Source Outage:
**Please note – ACLED will not be publishing weekly data updates in the month of August 2017. Please check back at the beginning of September for weekly data releases**
